Day 5 Halloween “No Name” Scaaaarey Manicure!

 

Simple, yet still Hawlloween’ish :)   And I still found a way to add glitter!  Have I mentioned, I love Glitter???!!!  In particular, SPECTRAFLAIR!!   I think I am going to bite the bullet and buy some of my own spectraflair pigment to add to my nail polishes.

 

 

So, this manicure was started with a base of plain creme black (Wet n Wild) 2 layers of a SpectraFlair topcoat, and the stitches (inspired by this post)  were done with an “Art Deco” by “LA Colors” striping brush in a lime green (? they didn’t have a name on the bottle).

Ta Da !!!

As promised.. Wet n Wild Fantasy Makers Manicure

 

My original idea for this manicure, was to use the black polish (Nail in my Coffin), and using the red sparkle polish (Once Upon A Time) as blood dripping down from the tips of my nails (Halloween inspired obviously – I am not that morbid normally :-) .

 

Well, the black went on beautiful – two coats and done.  Completely opaque and shiny.   The red sparkle on the other hand, wasn’t what I expected when I started using it.  The base that the sparkles are suspended in, is a clear black, and just didn’t apply as blood red (sparkly as it may have been lol) as I was hoping.  Just like I did a bad job with mt top coat.

 

So I made Once Upon A Time, a two layer top coat over Nail in my Coffin.  It actually looks pretty awesome.  But I am not looking forward to trying to remove all of these sparkles!  I didn`t bother to put a special base on to help when removing sparkles. (see Base for glitter polish post)  Oh well :)

Fantasy Makers Halloween Nail Polish

How adorable are these nail polish bottles??  The polish colour inside is nice, but the bottles are totally awesome!

Wet n Wild always comes out with something interesting for Halloween.  I don’t care if they are only a couple of dollars, I confess – I love Wet n Wild, and I am over the age of 12 ! :)
There were 4 polishes in the Halloween Fantasy Makers collection , but I only got two.  “Once Upon A Time” (clear with various sizes of red glitter)  and “Nail in My Coffin” (a shiny black with silver sparkle dust).

 

The other two available were a glow in the dark, and small purple glitter.

I will take photos and post them today or tomorrow !
