You call that a holo? Review / Swatches Kleancolor 138 Holo Orange

 

Just a quick post, as I only have a few words for this particular polish.

Well, one word.  Meh.

 

Ok, here’s a few more words.

 

Kleancolor Nail Lacquer 138 Holo Orange

 

The polish went on without any application issues.  2 coats and it was opaque.  The color has a very dull sandy finish when dry, so two or even 3 coats of a thick top coat is needed.  Holo – not really.  Maybe if you look really close and squint you can see a bit of a sparkle / holo :)

You can see the bumpy texture here (above) with one thick layer of Seche Vite topcoat.

 

 

Final thoughts… umm … not my favorite, but I still think Kleancolor has some other amazing nail lacquer colors :)

Retro style…. by mistake

 

This was just supposed to be a simple manicure, Finger Paint’s “Tiffany Imposter” as the base, Quo by Orly “An Affair to Remember” glitter next, then Kleancolor “Chunky Holo Candy” to top it off.  Unfortunately, I forgot everything I learned back in art class, about what happens when colors mix together.

 

And what happens when all of those colors mix together?  This is what happens!

 

 

 

If I decide to keep this mani on – I think I will have to get a lace headband and gloves, florescent legwarmers and start singing Cyndi Lauper.

Bubble, bubble…polish and trouble.

 

I’m running out of things to call my posts…. as you can see :)

 

Proudly, I would like to announce the latest holographic polish purchase, added to my collection.

Introducing,  JADE Holografico “Magia”.  It is just as good, if not possibly better than the Nfu Oh holographic’s.  Really fantastic smooth consistency, and brilliant holo with just one coat (although I’ve done 2 here).

 

The reason for the introduction is,  that this is the base polish for tonight’s manicure.

 

What I saw in my mind, while thinking of what to do to my nails was ,pools of green with bubbles coming out/up from them.
What turned out, was this:

 

 

They kind of look like a weird version of when I do strawberries on my nails.  The middle finger got mushed, and I still had a small puddle of green polish left from doing the dots – so, I tried the spun sugar (that’s what it is called, right?) technique.  It worked, kind of.

Monday’s Mani and What I thought Jelly polish was

 

Yes, yes… I realize that it isn’t actually Monday – but this is the manicure I wore yesterday :)

Ok, so I had a thought about the Kleancolor polish as I was using it.  It was almost clear, with just a tiny bit of an orange/red color.  And it was nice and thick (but it was sticky, which was annoying)

 

Isn’t this what a Jelly polish is supposed to be?  The last Jelly polish I bought was opaque with a thin consistency and not shiny at all.  Yet, Kleancolor does not advertise that this is a Jelly.

 

I think I am very confused about what makes a Jelly polish, a Jelly polish.

 

  If anyone can help me out with this, feel free to correct me ;) I won’t be offended at all.  I just wanna know the difference!
