I’m a 25 year old Personal Assistant in Vancouver, living downtown. My New Years resolution was to quit biting my nails, so to redirect myself I started fanatically painting my nails. Then became interested in indie polish brands. I’m generally pretty crafty, so after awhile I decided to do some research and try it myself……and Prettily Inspired Polish was born.
Disco Lights is a clear polish with shreds, hex and square metallic blue and purple glitter pieces. Nice consistency of base to suspend the glitter, and super shiny! It holds the glitter so that you don’t have to dip over and over just to get a couple of pieces of glitter. The above photo is one coat of Disco Lights over a light mauve polish. I tried originally with 2 coats, but it was overkill – one coat is just right
Starlet has the same great base consistency as Disco Lights. I don’t even want to try and guess all of the glitters in this polish, so….. in this pink tinted jelly polish, you will find the following glitters (according to the description from the shop listing ): micro gold hex, small matte pink square, matte pink stars, medium red hex, large iridescent clear hex, and ultra-fine iridescent white glitters. Another polish that only requires one coat for glittery goodness
Lettuce Leaf was a 2 coater for me – great mix of sizes and colors of glitter, but a little sparse for my tastes with just one coat. Nothing wrong with that though Lettuce Leaf has a green tint to it, but it’s very hard to see once applied. The photos above shows it over a blue polish, and that blue has very little to no change in color at all with Lettuce Leaf over top. Again, as listed in the shop description – the glitters included are : micro purple, small matte neon yellow hex, matte white square, medium matte neon green hex, and holo green square glitters.
(edit – just read on the official Lettuce Leaf description that it is a clear base. So, I believe one of the green glitters in my bottle must have bled and tinted the polish. But as mentioned above – the green really doesn’t show up once applied)
All Nighter is a deep navy, almost multi chrome polish that has shades of purple and grey in different lights. While 2 coats of this polish shows it in all it’s glory – you could get away with one coat. The opacity if this polish is fantastic!
In the above photos, I have a matte top coat on my pinky, Out The Door holographic glitter topcoat on my ring finger, and no topcoat on the other fingers. Normally I would have a top coat, but I was hoping with no top coat, I could show the different shimmers and shades of color, without the glare from a shiny top coat – but, I think I did the opposite This polish is much, much prettier in person. Check out the listing in the Prettily Inspired shop for better photos.
LOVE the name!! In fact, the polish is really great as well I wish I was able to capture a nice detailed closeup, but alas….it wasn’t meant to be. Another polish to view photos at the shop . The creamy pale yellow polish and micro gold glitter go so well together – I just want to sit here and stare at the polish bottle….rolling it back and forth, back and forth….so pretty……
