Such a beautiful polish – unfortunately, I didn’t realize until after I finished this manicure (this was from a few weeks back) that it shouldn’t have a top coat, if you want to have the “soft touch” effect. (almost matte, but not quite….just soft…as they say
)
So, I will do a follow up post at another date, on (aside from the great color) how it will look without a shiny top coat
(d’uh me, sorry lol)
Stay tuned for an upcoming announcement from myself,
and Polish Alcoholic!!

Have a great day everyone!!

[...] Layla Soft Touch Turquoise Splash [...]
I love it also with topcoat. It seems to lift the shimmer more in it.
Oh lord, now I have another thing to add on my “need to try” list
I think it looks gorgeous this way but I am curious how it looks without top coat
I’ll try and take some pics today
The softouch texture is amazing without topcoat! When I wear this shade I am constantly touching my nails…
After I realized it didn’t need a top coat – I was the exact same way
So soft!
I have one of the Layla Soft Touches and bought it without realizing it was a texture that was not supposed to have a base coat even let alone a top coat! I used both on it! I did figure out it was a texture only before I did my mani I always have done a spot test on a white sheet of paper…it’s not a ton of texture – more like a piece of felt I think…I wore it about 4 hrs that way and then put a top coat on it to see if it radiated out goodies inside like the OPI Suedes and others do when you put a clear topper on…I did not see anything more with the topper on…but still liked it better that way since I am kind of bugged by the feel of a gritting nail.
